Elizabeth’s POV

“You infringe on my right by knocking my head.” He said and looked at me.

“And do you plan on doing yours?” I asked the driver.

“No, I just wanted to let you know.”The driver said and began to drive.

After few minutes of driving, we arrived at Mr Ashley Romeo’s house.

I can’t wait to confront him and asked why he had acted like he didn’t know me at work.

I stepped down from the car and walked inside.

I saw Mr Ashley Romeo sitting on the sofa and reading the newspaper

I walked clumsily and went to stay before him, I stood akimbo and stared only at him.

He dropped his newspaper by his side and looked at me.

” Are you angry because you were punished for coming late on your fist day of work?” He asked.

“Oh! so you told them to punish me? Now I see what kind of husband you are.” I said.

He shook his head and took his newspaper back.

“Am I pathetic? why didn’t you introduce me before all your workers that I’m your wife?” I asked.

“You are not pathetic in any any way, I can not introduce you cause you are just a temporal wife that would leave soon. Don’t feel too belong.” He said and I stared deeply at him.

“Really? What benefit do I get for being your fake wife?” I asked.

“I think we settled that, s—-x and money.”

“Well, you haven’t even paid me as you have promised.” I said.

“Are you ready to receive your first payment?” He asked.

“I can’t be more ready and… give me first before I say what I want to say.” I said and he nodded.

He put a call across to someone and a man walked in with a sealed carbon paper.

He gave it to Mr Askey Romeo and walked away.

Mr Ashley Romeo presented the carbon paper to me.

I received it and check; I saw loads of money inside.

I sat and counted the money, I do not know if I could run away with that money and start a life of my own. I do not think it will be enough.

“What did you intend to say?” He asked.

“…That I love you and wish that you loved me back.”
