Chapter 69

Brenda’s POV

Scot got inside the car and began to drive back home.

I chuckled as I remembered how Scot made the chef fell and how he was struggling like a two months old baby to stand.

Scot only glanced at me and continued driving.

“I need to know how to drive myself so I can stop stressing you.” I said.

He didn’t say a word but continued driving.

“Why are you not answering?” I asked but he sped faster instead.

I turned and saw a car that seem to be running after us.

“Who is that?” I asked in fear.

“The man I just hurt….Just keep quiet and sit well in your seat belt.” He said and drove more faster

He was suppose to drive home but he changed route, he drove faster till we hit an empty road.

It was a tidy road but it’s only bushes and few small old unused houses that were at the leg and right.

I wanted to ask why he can’t Drive to the police station and report to the cop but I remembered he told me not to talk.

I did not want him to lose concentration.

The car that was chasing us doesn’t even look like one that is ready to stop.

“Stop looking back and be calm.” He said and I nodded.

A trailer appeared before us all of a sudden, Scot was already driving faster so he turned recklessly to the left side of the road and the car collapsed to the other side of the road.

The road was more like a small bridge, so… the car tumbled and hit a tree.

I thought I had died, I saw that the car was upside down.

I turned and Scot had already got down, he opened the door by my side and helped me out.

He held me by my wrist and we began to run into the empty houses.

We finally hid in one of those houses.

“I’m scared.” I uttered sincerely.

“It’s normal to be scared, we just made someone one legged, he’s angry and would want revenge….relax.” He said but my heart only kept beating.

I rested my head on his shoulder and he played with my hair like I was a pët.

I would have done the same but now is not the time.

“Chek there.” I heard a male voice say.
