I watched Jerry the whole time,his eyes were fixed on Fiona. Did he miss her? Jealousy and rage ran through my veins but I tried to keep it cool. The nerve of him to bring her along.
“So Mariah how’s school?” Shawn asked as Mariah smiled. She loves her siblings equally and sometimes cry whenever we fight. She’s just so soft and tender.
Maybe been the last child has really rubbed on her. I remembered when I usually take some documents home for Jerry. I was usually jealous whenever I see him with Fiona but now,he’s mine not hers.
“You know we hardly get along so why did you bring your mother here?” Jerry asked again and immediately I knew this night would not end well.
Something’s gonna happen and I might not be able to stop it. “She’s my family, just like you are so i see no reason why she’d be left out of a family dinner, moreover it’s my money you’re flaunting.” Shawn replied proudly as Jerry swallowed hard.
“How dare you talk to me that way?” Jerry asked, looking at him furiously. “I’ll talk to you anyway I want, just like you did to my mom years back!” He snapped as Jerry stood up.
“Am your father. Show some respect!” He yelled but Shawn only stood up and shoved a finger at Jerry’s chest.
“Go to hell for all I care!” He spat and shoved his hands at Jerry again but this time,Jerry lost his balance and fell to the ground with a loud thud.

My eyes widened at the realization of what I’d just done. I pushed my father and now he might be in danger because of me?
I hurried to his side, pushing Martina, Brianna and Dylan. Mariah was already in tears and I bet the fvcking press were already capturing everything.
He already fell unconscious and the guards were struggling to pull him to the car. I just hope nothing happens to him. I just hope.

“Help,help.” Martina screamed as we all rushed into the hospital, running after the stretcher which wheeled dad in.
I just hope he’s alright. I really hope so.
Some hours later,the doctor came out wiping his hands on a napkin as I rushed to meet him. “How’s he doctor? Tell me.” I urged as Martina pushed me away.
“Just pray it’s something simple or else you’ll pay for it.” She threatened but I didn’t bother arguing with her. Her problem is the last thing I need now.
“Your father suffered from a heart failure but we detected something.” He said as I furrowed my brows. What could he be talking about?
He looked at me as if trying to be sure if he can go on with his statement. “His liver is bad and I mean both livers. Guess he’s been smoking a lot.” The doctor said and I almost lost my balance.
“Are you sure, doctor?” I asked and he nodded before I turned to look at Martina. She didn’t look surprised and this got me curious.

“Good night Hannah.” I said, yawning as I made my way up the stairs. Of course I didn’t go directly to my bedroom. I hid behind a vase just to eavesdrop on their conversation.
“Have you thought of a way? I mean of repaying the money?” Hannah asked and I heard dad sigh.
“No, I’ll just have to lend from someone.” He replied as I sighed.
He’s really passing through hell. I just wish he’d let me ask Daphne for help.
