Elizabeth’s POV

At night, I slëpt beside Mr Ashley Romeo. It’s hard to tell if he was sleeping or not.

It’s being many hours that we had slept , I truly slept for few hours and woke few hours later, I kept thinking of what Mr Ashley Romeo’s second test would be.

I need to really pass it, I want to deal with some silly headed workers.

I have not even allowed him to make love with me and he’s not disturbing me, I wonder what sort of man he is.

“Elizabeth!” I heard my name all of a sudden and I closed my eye like I was sleeping.

I did not say a word, all this while that I was thinking, my eyes were opened.

He must have caught my eyes open.

“Why are you not sleeping?” He asked and I thought if I should reply or not.

I turned to him and said; “Mr Ashley Romeo, anytime I wander away, you always bring me back, I think you like me, if you do, just marry me already or what is all this silly tests all about?”

“I loved and trusted my run away bride too, she betrayed me. I need to be sure of what I’m entering too. Marriage is a life time thing, I hope you understand.”

“I don’t care if it is long term or short term, if you like me, announce me.” I said.

“Just tell me you are scared that you may fail my two tests.” He said.

“I? scared? Never! I’m just teaching you to do what is right?” I said and looked away.

“Rabbi!” He said and turned away from me.

He was now backing me.

“Self control is a virtue.” He said.

“So you think you have self control because you did not make love with me all this while?” I asked annoyingly.

“I’m not talking about that, though. I’m talking about your next test!”He said.

” How about it? Is it about self control?” I asked but he did not say anything.

“How does having self control make me a good wife to you?” I asked.

“If you can control your appetite, you can control your emotions, I will trust you with all I have if you can control your appetite for the things of the world.” He said

“Why are youu talking like Bible Mr Ashley Romeo?”

“Your next test is that from now till three days elapses, you must not take yogurt.”
