????️ Ashwini Pov ????️

“I did not call you for that, I called you to warn you that next time you touch my brother, you will be spending the rest of your miserable life behind bars.” Taru’s voice said in a threatening way. I tried not to laugh at her house but failed at that attempt.

“Oh, I’m scared right now, can’t really wait to see you carry out your threats. I have changed over the years Taru, Ashwini that you know is different from the one you are speaking with on the phone. I was done drooling over your brother’s ages.” I told her.

“Same here Ashwini, I have changed over the years too. The same Taru you knew back then isn’t the same person speaking on the phone. I’m a very bad, bad person you don’t want to mess with.”

“Then if you are bad, I am the baddest of all bad-asses. Have a sorrowful day Taru.” I said and pressed the red button, ending the miserable call.

I smiled widely when I saw a text message from Rohit which read;

‘Good morning beautiful, hope you slept well and dream of me cus I did. I wish to see you today but will be very busy with doctor Amol. Will call you when I am free. Take care of yourself for me.

Lots of love from R.’

Before I could type out my response my room door burst open and my mother entered it as if someone was chasing her,she quickly closed the door behind her. Dropping my phone on my bed, I was up to my feet and at her side Immediately.

“Mum, what’s wrong?” I asked worriedly. “Is it Bobby?

“No, not that but prince Khan.”

“Khan? What about him?”

“He is here Ashwini.” She replied as at the same time we heard a knock coming from the front door. “I don’t want him to see me, please.”

“Why? Did you steal something from him?”

“No, it’s a long story, just make sure he doesn’t know I am around, please my dear.” She pleaded and I couldn’t say no.

“Okay mum. Just stay in my room, I will lock it from the front just in case Bobby tries to search for you.” I told her which she agreed immediately. I left my room and locked the door from the outside as agreed and walked down the stairs, still on my pajamas.

I heard voices, clearly Bobby and Khan’s voice and saw them talking when I reached the last step. They were seated and stopped their discussion once they saw me.

Bobby’s eyes were as usual, glaringly heated e at me, I guess he had told Khan what I did to his beloved son, which isn’t my business.

I stood where I was, crossing my arms beneath my breast as I greeted Bobby and ignored the smiling prince with a bandaged on his nose.

Bobby didn’t respond to my greetings, who cares.

“Good morning my damsel.” Prince Khan said getting up to his feet and coming over to meet me, stopping a few feet away from me. He raked his eyes all over me before setting his gaze on mine. “You’re so beautiful.”

“What are you doing here?” I asked him, deadpan.

“I came here to see your beautiful face, are you not happy seeing me?” He asked as he drew closer to me.

“I don’t want to see your ugly face.” I said.

“I heard what you did to your step brother.” He said and twist his head a little so that he could face Bobby and send him an apologetic smile before he faced me. “And he truly deserves it, that way I will have you all to myself.” He added with a sly smile.

“Didn’t the gossiper also told you he separated me from my hulk boyfriend when we were making out and about to fuck ourselves?” I asked dramatically with a slight smirk on my lips and his smile fade.

“What? There is another one? Who is he and his name?” Prince Khan asked, sounding jealous. “I need to know everything about this new rival of mine.”

“Someone who is far better than you, someone who I would choose over and over again even if my eyes were closed, Khan. So stop chasing this dream of yours because it won’t work. Just take my advice from me and stop dreaming high Khan.” I told him. “I don’t want you.”

“My dreams of spending the rest of my life with you keeps rising high, Ashwini. Whoever he is, I hope he gets ready for the fight because I am not letting you go.”

“Well, keep dreaming high Khan.” I said and spun around to climb the stairs when Bobby’s voice stopped me.

“Where is your mother? Tell her the prince is here to see her.”

“She is not around.” With that being said, I climbed the stairs not bothered to wait and hear his response.

I unlocked my door and entered my room, locking it.

“Is he gone?” My mother asked me Immediately.

“No mum, but I told Dad you are not around.”

“….” She paused when we heard the footsteps of Bobby coming to check in their bedroom, Arjun room and Taru room which hadn’t been opened in the years she had been in America.

He came to my door and when he realized how I had locked it, he knocked.

“Ashwini opened the door right now.”

“No, I won’t.”

“This is my house and not yours, you are under my roof and you will obey me. Now open the goddamn door.”

“And you’ve forgotten that you are married to my mother. Let me ask you Bobby, since the years you have been sleeping with my mother, where is the result? I am beginning to think you are imponent. Anyways my mother is here with me and you can tell Khan that she is not coming out to see him, she is not his mother.”

I heard his retreating steps and hissed loudly.

Soon, we heard the prince leaving as he shouts his goodbyes to me.

This prince is clearly insane.

“Thanks a million Ashwini.” My mother said behind me and spun around to face her.

“Can you be honest with me for once mum, why are you scared of meeting Khan?”

“You don’t understand Ashwini.”

“Then make me understand and stop keeping me in the dark.”

“It’s for your own good Ashwini.” She said and when she saw my squeeze confused face she quickly added. “I mean keeping you in the dark. I am doing this to protect you.”

“Okay, thank you for protecting me all these years but I am no more a kid mum, I deserve to know the truth and even if I had lost my memories, I still want to know a lot of things.” I told her. “Why are you scared of meeting Khan? Did you have an affair with me? Did you sleep with his fath-” I didn’t get to complete my statement when she cut me.

“I did no such thing.”

“Then tell me!” I yelled, raising my voice at her for the first time in my life.

“Because Khan’s father has a hand in the death of your father. If he sees me, he will kill the both of us Ashwini.”

I was shocked to my bones, wasn’t expecting that but I nodded my head.

“So you see why I don’t want him to see me?”

A question came to me.

“And why doesn’t he remember me? He could have easily remembered me if he could remember you.” I asked my mother.

“That’s because I changed your face Ashwini. Your real name isn’t Ashwini but Aishwarya.” She replied, shocking me further. “I am sorry. There are still a lot of things I am keeping away from you because of your lost memories, with time and with Rohit by your side, I hope you will remember your true self.”

“Does Rohit know? That I lost my memories, does he know everything?”

“Yes.”

“Were we together before I lost my memories?”

“Yes, you both like each other then you got separated and now you are back together.”

“Does he know about Khan father being responsible for the death or mine?”

“He knows and he plans to get them all, to get those involved. He has killed some though.” She answered.

“Then tell him I am now fully involved, he is no longer alone on his quest for revenge on my behalf. In fact I will tell him whenever he calls.” I told her. “We can’t rush and create history, that does not mean, you can’t plan history.” I said out of blue and saw the surprise look on my mother’s face and asked with a shrug. “What mum?”

“That’s what Aishwarya would have said, not Ashwini.”
