I stayed hidden and watched them search the car. I can’t believe someone just tried to kill me..

Turns out a bullet actually pierced my thigh. fuvk?! It hurts. I scurried outta my hiding place and try to find help.

Was bleeding profusely and needed to attend to it. I checked the car for my phone but unfortunately for me its all broken into pieces.

I managed to walk to the road but there wasn’t any car around the main road.

Was becoming dizzy by the moment.
All the cars won’t stop for they were scared.

A particular car stopped but I passed out before they could get to me.

” He’s conscious.” I heard voices in my head.  I was shivering and all the events of the day kept playing in my head.

I couldn’t open my eyes for I was scared.

“Wake up !” I kept hearing voices and I finally I flushed open my eyes.

“Where am I?” I asked breathlessly as my body trembled.

“Relax okay ? You’ll be up in no time.” A middle aged lady.

I let out a breath and closed my eyes. Gush my leg hurts so much.

My burning fever calmed down when I felt something cold on my forehead.

I stayed that way till I slept off again.

I groan in pain as I tried to get outta bed. Couldn’t feel my leg at the moment.

” mom he’s awake.” A boy around age 13 says and the woman walked outta the kitchen with a smile on her face.

“Hold still for now you’ll be fine.” She helped me relaxed abit.

“Thank you.” I.mumbled  audibly.

“Oh common its nothing , anyone could have done the same for a cortez.” She says and I nodded.

“Sorry if I may ask where am I?” I asked.

“You’re in Del Rio. ” she smiled and I sighed.

I guess I’ll just have to lay low for while till I figure out who wants me dead.

“Thanks once again can I please asked you for a favor again?” I sounded pathetic.

“Am all ears.”

” can I please stay here for a while?”
